The Budster and I managed 12 rainbows, the largest being a 22" triploid, while fishing chironimid patterns vertically with a full sink line and slow retrieve. 6 fish took a black snowcone and 6 took a bloodworm pattern. All fish were caught approximately 25 feet down in 30 feet of water. I fished from 10:00 to 2:00. The bite peaked from 11:00 to 12:00 when 8 fish were caught. During this period I only needed to dangle my offerings near the bottom. No retrieve was necessary. The fish would took care of the rest, announcing their presence by slamming my rod tip into the water! Some other gentlemen picked up a few while kick finning with buggers and nymphs. Water temp 52.
