Very beautiful lake and not a bad hike I'm not sure the exact distance but it only took 15 minutes to hike there this is a selective gear fishery so make sure to pinch your barbs we fished it three times in the course of three days. The first day we were pretty much checking the lake out being it was our fist time, no fish, but it was enough to come back. the next day the water was smooth as glass and there is nothing more frustrating than watching 5 lb. trout swim right in front of you for 4 hours and having no takers. Day 3 we managed to hook up with a trout, not the big one but it still pushed 2lbs, 16". Not fly fisherman, caught it on a rather large chrome spoon
