The water at the outlet is only 43 degrees. The water at the mouth is 47 degrees. It is amazing how the wind blowing the warm water to one end can make such a difference.
Now for the fish, the trollers were catching them at about 20 feet on lead line. My fish locater indicated that the fish are stacking up at some of the drop-offs and if you take your time, they can be caught. As for me, I use a different method, and caught 8 by myself, lost several, and had a bunch follow to the boat and turn around.
It is sure a shame that this lake is soooooo hard to launch a boat at, and so dangerous in a big blow.
