OK, another Rock Lake report, a report that I'm sure a lot of you will think is overstated.

The Browns, and a few nice rainbows, still have the feedbags on. Remember that the fish are where the food is, so don't follow the money, follow the food.

Three of us spent about 5 hours there on Saturday, caught at least 15, kept 13, and lost and/or missed far more than that. In short, if this lake had better shore and/or boat access, this lake would rate a 5+ for those that know it. Oh ya, buy the way, the picture has only 15" fish and bigger. The largest Brown was 5.1 #. Not bad for a short trip to teach a new guy about fishing (LOL).

PS - I don't often suggest keeping limits like we did this time. But some lakes are underused. I failed to teach enough people about the Walleye in Sprague, and failed to keep enough fish, and now it will be lost this fall. Rock Lake could easily become another lake that the F&W stop stocking if we do not utilize it. For now, keeping a limit of orange flesh protein from this lake is a good thing, not a bad one.
