My friend and I went out on Tapps to do some bass fishing. We have been here before with great success but I haven't been able to figure out how to post reports. We started fishing around 5:00 p.m. and stopped fishing around 7:30 p.m.
We went over to our usual spots and within 5 minutes we had hooked and landed 6 smallies along with 2 largies that weighed around 6 pounds each. The fish weighed on average 3 pounds. As we continued on down the bank, we had the same success. We ended up catching 22 smallies and 2 largemouth bass, with our biggest fish weighing 6 1/2 pounds. All in all, this lake has been great to us. Tight Lines...

Can you launch a boat yet in Tapps. Has the water come up? Sounds like an awesome day!!!

I'm from Snohomish County and have always wanted to fish Lake Tapps but I am not sure where to go, how to get there or where to park and fish. Can you give me directions on how to get to a public parking area? Since the water is so low now can I just walk right into the Lake and fish? Everyone keeps telling me that there are houses around the lake so I am not sure if people will get mad walking down into the lake.

it is easy to get to this lake. if you are coming up 410 towards Bonney Lake, you will go past the old Winery on the hill. Go to the top of the Hill until you get to the arco station and Dairy Queen. Take a left at the light and go through the flashing yellow lights by the police station. When you get to the next stop light take a left and continue down that road until you get to the four way stop. Take a right and continue to Allan Yorke Park at the end of the road. You can launch the boat and fish right at the park.

Okay, i will tell you where the best spots are to fish since i am tired of people telling me spots that don't hold fish. The best spots are on the south side of Tapps Island near the golf course and on snag island. The water is still to low to launch a boat unless you have a little boat such as a john boat or along those lines. Good luck and email me for further questions at [email protected]
