Started at around 4:30 PM working my way along northwest side of lake with only one or two strikes. Stopped at north end of lake and fished there 45 min before I landed a 3lb 12oz LM. It is the largest I have caught at Cassidy. I worked my way up east side of lake and ended up landing 6 in the boat and lost another 4-5 as I was having issues with my reel. Most of the ones I landed were in the 1lb to 1-1/2lb range. The bass started to be very active around 8 PM with a lot of strikes and I landed most around then.

Catch and release on all BASS!!

What were you using? Just curious, because my friends and I have only found one lure that works for us at Cassidy - weightless purple lizards. If that is what you used, did you get the tip from Edgeran's Lake Cassidy posting?

Nevermind. I can see that trusty lizard dangling from its mouth. It's weird - they don't seem to strike any other baits in that lake. The secret is out! Which is fine by me when everyone's practicing C&R :) We'll see you out there sometime - we'll be the 3 guys in way too small of a boat!

It is no secret Mr. Mangler, although I have caught bass using different color lizards. As long as we are practicing C&R, it doesn't matter, there are plenty of bass in that lake. Good luck all!
