With only a couple hours available to dedicate to fishing, I decided to keep it close and head to W. Medical. I thought that 2:00 to 4:00 would make for terrible fishing but I was thankfully wrong. The fish were on absolute fire despite 80 degree temps, bright sun and a light algae bloom. My trusty sinkline technique with chironomids proved fruitless, but the old school technique of kick-finning/trolling with a black bugger proved highly successful. Twelve average rainbows, 12-15", to net and released with another half dozen lost. The fish were suspended at 15-20 feet. Hits were very violent and resulted in immediate hook-ups...all I had to do was play and land them!
