Met Kenster at the launch promptly late for me 0630....Had a follow in the inlet at Landscapers Point...slow follow on a Purple bucky..smaller fish low 30's which is good. Means there are some juvies around. Nice strike in the same area by the willow tree never saw that fish. Felt like a nice fish. Big swirl a small blow up at the surface. Gone. Hit the area over by Dike 4...Kenster was a way down the ripp rapp..let me know he had a follow. I figured if he was targeting Smallie that I'd throw my black, red and yellow Musky Killer.........Last cast...followed to the boat did a big circle. Fish came back..took the Killer..line wrapped around his head and gill plate..took a hard dive to the right, under the boat, head shook sliced the line..lost the fish...pissed!! Lost my leader. Lost my Bucktail. Lost my temper!! Good heavy 40 plus fish..good thing I guess was that I hooked him just in the corner of his bottom jaw. Hopefully he can shake the buck and continue on with his life...So if someone finds a Smallie colored bucktail its mine..return it if possible..I am now thinking possibly going with barbless hooks just for that reason...Think I am going to do some panfishing tomorrow..good fishin to all..Todd
