Perch fishing was the main goal as always. Fished the weekend and was able to take a few meals of perch home. Hoping they now have turned on as they were last year. Fished two ways: one was with a small tri colored jig with a red hook, with a long shank and the other was a standoff red hook. Was fishing with in 6 inches of the bottom. Either way a night crawler or cut bait was used. Most of the fish were taken at the edge of the pads or within 8 to 10 feet away just where the weeds cleaned up. Most of the perch were 10 inches and bigger. Several other boats did very well, Ron had one perch that was close to 13 inches, way to go Ron. I did catch 4 nice catfish with one or the other of the rigs.
