Seemed like a great afternoon/evening with that wind pounding some points and shorelines but my partner(bugle1in)and I got skunked. I'd have bet my next paycheck on tonight being a big fish night. Glad I didn't bet. Still a great evening out with a great friend.

How was the ski boat traffic? I've always wondered what it is like on a weeknight afternoon/evening. Sorry you got skunked. Bill and I got skunked on Sunday morning too.

Bill,
There was more boat traffic than I expected plus there were some real idiots out there. Besides having to reel in on two occasions for fear of getting cut off we almost got ran into by a family pulling a wake boarder. There were about 20' from us and the shore and ready to pull the boarder up when I hollered at them. If they would have missed us, they'd have hit the Campers Island. The wind had blown them over to us but no one was watching. Sure glad I hollered. I haven't seen any police enforcement on Tapps since we started fishing it this spring. What's up with that. Since they've got the launch prices so high I guess the Pierce Co Sherriff's Dept must think that since there's not many non-residents on the water, the residents must not be breaking any laws. NOT

Sorry you didn't catch anything. Sounds like the Musky fishing is cooling off over there, or no one is reporting or simply avoiding all teh boats. I agree with you that Tapps has some of the worest boat drivers around. I fished it a month ago, and at 6:30am we were fishing by the bridge to bankers Island (I think). A boat comes out of nowhere and goes ripping under the bridge at 20MPH+ WITH A SKIER IN TOW! Now I was crazy in my youth, but that was just nuts. But I guess they looked cool......

How is the Musky fishing in Late September and October. Are they still biting, or is Tapps too cold by then??

I'll bet it's pretty good but the Co Park launch goes back to day time hours after Labor Day. Send your comments concerning the late opening of the Co Park boat launch to Kravit-Smith, Kathy at [email protected] please.
