Took my dad, in his eighties, and my middle daughter,16, to Cranberry dock at state park today. Fished from 3:30 to 6:30. Tried worms, power bait, eggs, marshmallows.Nothing worked until about 5:30.Then,out of the corner of my eye, I saw my pole move. Was very surprised, since none of us had had a bite up until then.Reeled in in a few minutes, and along with about 6 pounds of weeds, had a 7" perch. No more noticeable bites, until on my daughter's last cast, she reeled in a 5" pumpkinseed. I didn't know they were even in Cranberry. She didn't even know she had it on.Lake had a bloom, and also seems to have quite a milfoil issue.Beatiful day,75-80 deg.Beautiful setting around lake.Nice to have a spot my dad can fish. Some people at n. end of dock did about as well as we did.Nice outing.

It's definitely a boat affair this time of year fishing for bass and browns in the limbs and tree stumps. Try it again in the Spring when the water is more hospitable and it has received its trout stocking.

Try off the rocks at the end of the trail next to the boat launch. Caught two limits in about 3 hours using powerbait.
