Dragged my boat down to Pullman for a day of smallmouth bass fishing with my buddy who is attending school at WSU. Hit the river about 10 AM, had a late start due to a late night at My Office. Wind was blowing pretty good so we put in at Bryton Landing upstream from Lower Granite dam and boated down stream, against the wind, and let the wind drift us back up stream about 20 yards offshore. Using a pink tube off the bottom, I caught two 13"ish bass and my buddy caught none! Serves him right for making me stay up late and have a good time. When we got blown off the water we drove around to Boyer park below the dam and the fellow running the store at the park talked us into buying some worms and trying for some catfish off the bank. Soaked worms for about 3 hours and my buddy caught a 13"ish bass, a similar sized trout and several nice crawdads and I caught a 2lb sucker, no catfish.
