Lizard lake is very shallow, and at this time of year I would not recommend going because it is still frozen over. I misjudged the elevation of the lake and was disappointed to see two feet of snow on the ground and ice on the lake. Some parts were melted but it was hard to access the shore on the far side of the lake. I used a black 1/16oz rooster tail with no success. The parts of the lake that weren't frozen over were very clear and I never saw any fish. I am skeptical if this lake has fish.

Lily lake is close by and I did not stop at it because it was snowing again and I had run out of food.

It is 4 miles to Lily lake and 5 miles to lizard. Sorry no pictures, forgot my camera.

There are trout there. Its just a hard lake to fish without a raft or float tube.
