went to boren as soon as it got light out. about 6:30 am. didn't get a hit till about about 9. missed a lot of fish today, they weren't eating the bait to well more just mouthing it. caught three, then another guy showed up and i caught the two nice holdovers. got my limit and left. pretty slow today until about 10 or so. saw about 15 or so commorants(sp?) grouping up and catching trout. i saw them eat atleast 20 fish, before i got my first one. when they disappeared i starting catching fish.

In Calif I used to watch aa old man slingshot small rocks at the cormorants to drive them away. He never hit any, just water. Is that even legal? Didn't seem to work anyway.

probably not legal but something does need to be done. they are getting more fish than we are. im pretty sure they dont stock the lake for them to eat... or maybe i have it backwards lol

I agree, the comorant need to go. They only stocked Boren with 1,000 and with the amount of pressure that lake gets I'm sure it will be fished out quick.
Good job tnj2222. Glad to hear the bite is still going on. Good report.

Fished this morning and ran into tnj8222 again. Slowwww fishing for me, but managed to get 4 and lose a few others. Cormorants all over the place.

It gets fairly tough to limit at Boren at 2+ weeks after every planting, even without the 2-rodders and cormorants. The fish get thinned out and start spreading out in the lake. It's getting closer to that time period.

Not a big deal though... might be time to seek out some panfishing spots at other lakes.

i got a limit after you left. they were biting at the launch again. no hold overs this time though. nice seeing you out there again. Shad_Eating_Grin. they are spreading out pretty good but they will continue to be shallow until the lake turns over, and the thermocline returns.
