Yes guys I'm up to my old tricks again of showing new people where and how to fish Lake Tapps. You can be mad at me for getting more fisher people on the great lake, but I will keep doing it. When anyone comes to me and asks to go fishing I can not help myself it's another reason to go FISHING. Monday was my buddy Larry, and the weather was a force to contend with. The wind stayed at a steady mach 2, rain, snow , sleet. and hail. We were able to fish reasonably on the east side of Tapps Island. We only caught a couple of smallies 16 and 17 inch. We found a steep drop in 12 to 18 feet, and work a white 3" grub on a 1/8 oz stand up jig head near wood legs of the docks and submerged structure. The water temp was 49 to 52 as the day wore on. That magic 55 is not far off now.

Bill do you have any tips for this time of year on tapps? I have only fished the lake twice and both times were not that enjoyable.
