Went to Padden with a buddy @ 5am. My friend had a rough go at it for starts. He missed a few and landed a couple. I messed around with a few new rigs I wanted to try. I ended up missing my first 3 bites and had 2 jump and throw the hook. I simplified my rig, ditched the power bait and power eggs, and I ended up catching 6 from shore with many bites over a 3 hour period. It was lots of fun. I brought home 5 and grilled up 2 tonight.
It wasn't lights out like I heard another small B'ham lake was, but well worth the early rise and cold hands.
