After not catching anything on opening day (to many people, to few spots to fish from) , I decided to wait until afternoon on Sunday. Fewer people, but still only one or two spots open for me and my son to fish out of. First hour we watched people in boats using spinners take fish after fish with no bits, then bam, my son hit three out of four strikes and skunked his ol'dad for the day...He is well on his way to being a true fisherman with the smack he laid down on me, until i picked him up and threatened to toss him in *grin*

Yeah...he is very much into me taking him out fishing, yet the little fart doesn't want to touch them at all. *LOL* then when I clean them he stands there and makes retching noises thinking hes funny.....ok, so he is, but......

I fished Heart the same evening (Sunday) by boat and caught 5 in 2 hours which I thought was slow for a freshly stocked lake. Today I went again and caught 3 fish in 5 hours which was really poor fishing. Nice to see your son caught three. Nice Job lil guy...I think the water is still too cold for the fish to aggressively feed. Water temp was 54 deg today when I left the lake late this morning.
