Went out to Pine again today after taking yesterday off. Man that place was packed at noon. I took my daughter out on the boat and went straight out from the pier. I trolled my gold 1/8 ounce kastmaster and hooked up a little 8 incher in about 5 minutes. No sooner than I had that guy released, I started taking on water. I rushed back to the shore with about 4" of water in the bottom of the boat and my clothes drenched. Popped seam is getting fixed right now. I don't think I'm going to be back on a weekend again, way too crowded. I met a couple in the parking lot that walked out to the pier and turned right around because of the crowds. I guess the word is out.... Still a fun day though. And now I might be able to talk the wife into a new boat ;0)

Sky was clear, water was smooth. Pier was packed, about 12 boats on the water.

Any chance that was you in that yellowjacket raft with that young girl around 12:05? That thing was sitting really low to the water if it was :)

We spoke a little as you dumped the water out of your raft. I was sitting eating lunch in my beached boat. Saw your soaked pants -- did not look fun, Hope you get to take your girl out again soon.

Yes that was me. I found a 1/4 tear in one of the seams. 1st one in 4 years so I can't complain. Good news is I got it repaired and I talked the wife into buying a larger raft :0) I live close by and I'm on a "forced" vacation, so I'm sure I'll see you guys out there again. I've been going out every other day and my daughter is starting to love being out on the water, so I plan on spending a lot of time out there. I just hope there's enough fish to last until the end of the season... See you on the water.

See you on the water Gian! That's great you're getting your daughter out -- there will be a good amount of fish left over cause they put 21,000 in there and we C&R all our fish anyways. You do need to get a new raft -- look into some a West Marine, or the Fish Hunger by Sevylor. I was a little concerned when I saw that thing sitting so low in the water. Oh well, you made it back fine, thanks goodness! Hope to see you out there soon!! Tight lines, KTK
