I was at work and I noticed it was nice and mild. So I decided I better head to Cassidy when I get off. I showed up around 530, there was a nice cool breeze Which would have been a lot better if I hadn't been wearing shorts. So anyways I was casting a Rapala towards the pads at first with no success, So I thought what the hay I better try some plastics I know the bass like them. So I hooked up a salamander Red and Green. With the Carolina Rig. And what to my surprise first cast I hook into about a 3 pounder . Good fight., My other buddy that I met down there had already scooped up two smaller ones before I got there using a gold and black rapala.

Way to go! I fished Cassidy yesterday and only had a few bites on a small rapala and a jig -- no fish. I tried a bright red curlytail grub rigged texas-style, and couldn't get any takers in the pads. Next time I'll go with darker colors. I figured a bright color would be good in stained water on an overcast day. Live and learn. From your pic it looks like I was also fishing on the wrong side of the lake...
