Beautiful day to sneak away and fish at about noon! I chose to fish from the shore on the western banks. There were others nearby fishing from the banks and several boaters. The fish were biting but I had no luck. A boater stated he caught seven and I saw him reel one in. Also saw a family reel in a 2 pounder across the lake. I saw several jumpers about 20-30 feet from shore, so the fish were active. I tried worm/boober, wedding ring and rooster tail. Got some bites on the wedding ring but lost 2 of them to the stumps. Had to call it a day at 3:30 because the wind really picked up and it was in my face to casting was useless.

I would like to note that I came across 2 dead salmon on the shore, each were both female and approximately 6-8 inches in length.

Interesting, thanks for the report. I don't think there are very many if any Salmon in Ohop lake. How do you tell the sex of 6-8 inch fish anyway?

I also thought it was odd to see 2 salmon at once in Ohop. Not abnormal to see salmon since I have caught them there before, but 2 in one area was odd. I brought it to the attention of another shore fisher next to me who examined one of the 2 and determined it was a female salmon because of the coloration.
