Took my son out for a trip to Spring Lake. We caught 3 right around the cove. It happened everytime I was blabbing on the phone, ha, had a good time. Noone else was on the lake. A guy showed up to do some shore fishing as we were leaving. Trolling real slow, fish were 10-14 inches. I've been having a slow year has anyone else been?

I'm having a great year also, fishing-wize. I've noticed that spring lake is weird, you know that the fish are in there, but it's kinda hard to troll for them. They only seem to hit in that cove area. I've fished there about 5 or 6 times total and it's not one of my favorite lakes. If you live in south King county, try Wilderness and Shady lake. I just sent some novice fishermen to Wilderness the other night and they did great. Shady opens on June 1st and there are a ton of fish in there! It's that small lake on the left if you're going East on Petro. Hope the rest of your year is better!
