went out to pine today around 11am. 2 other boats on the water, about 6 people on the dock, 1 person from the shore. I didn't get a single bite. trolled a wed ring with power bait tail. I ran at 3 ft,6 ft, 15 ft, and didn't get a single strike. I went up and down the lake to all my usual spots. I only saw 2 fish leap out of the water, I normally see about 20. Wind was about 5-8 mph blowing from the east, overcast. I left at 1 pm. Gent on the shore got skunked too. He told me he had been there for 3 hours. I didn't even see anyone pull a fish out of the water. I don't know if the fish are wise to my lure, the time of day was bad, or too many of the stockers have already left the lake/ died. Oh well, I'm going back to Langlouis tomorrow during the day and might try my luck again at pine in the afternoon.

weird. i was there on that same day. I caught my limit from the dock in about an hour. pink and white bait. kastmasters. worms. etc.....you'd think that humming and bright flash would kill them near the surface.....well thats a normal day of fishing right there.

It is the weather. Full bright sunny days = poor fishing days.

You're welcome kutt. I'm fortunate I live 2 minutes away and my daughter likes the outdoors instead of tv. Plus I'm new to the area and this website has helped me a lot, I figured I would try to return the favor. See you on the water...
