went out on taps at my buddy house and caught a little bulled head for some smallmouth bait, i casted it out and little did i know i would be catchin my first musky of the season!
it was a fun day.
landed plenty of smallies aroud 2-3 pounds and caught this musky, and a baby one around 15 inches.
it was really windy and rainy but we found a calm cove.
the bright colors are working good on the muddy side of the lake.

I'm not the cops and honestly have no problem with livebait but the regs state no live bait.

I certainly hope that your defintion of LIVE BAIT is not the definition of LIVE BAIT I think your thinking of...May want to check your regs..worms and maggots are good.Fish type live bait is wrong! And from what I do know is that Lake Tapps is under investigation for some illegal fish killing going on out there. So there are wardens out there and now too with the holiday you may just want to check your self..just saying..****Remember 50"inch limit. Let em' go so they can grow****
Heya bigbowkes..cut plug Herring? For what on Tapps? And what do you mean "can you you use live bait.. you mean you don't care"? Read your regs bro !!

I just looked through the regs. From what I can see Muskyhunter and Kevinb are correct in pointing out to not use live fish as bait. Page 31 of the regs states:

YOU MAY NOT Possess or use live fish for game fish bait.

This is in regards to Statewide General Rules regarding lakes .... unless there is something I am missing.
