I had fished Phillips lake in the morning (SE of Bayley) and traveled to this lake and adjoining Potter's Pond. I fished half heartedly in Bayley for about 45 mins. I constantly snagged on grass and weeds with out any strikes. Part of the South end is blocked off due to nesting Eagles, very cool! It was real nasty, (rain, sleet, snow, graupel) so I pulled out. As I was driving out, it stopped raining briefly, so I put in my tube at Potter's Pond. Within a short while I hooked into a good 18" Rainbow. It fought well and I returned it for another fisherperson. I did not hook any Brookies like I hoped. I think those Brookies are beautiful little fish.
