Went out with the boys for a few hours. Mostly trolling around the North end of the lake. Cody picked up this nice SM with a lure that looks like a trout fry. I managed this silver fish, not really sure what species it is, lake trout or a Kokanee maybe. But it fought well.

Sweet koke you caught there. Hey Ken you forgot catfish. haven't seen them for a while, but I've seen them. There also used to be some nice rainbows in here . There are still some landlocked Coho, Chinook and Steelhead in here. Pretty much anything that ever swam up the White had washed down the flume and made a home in Tapps.

The Kokanee was about 18 inches or so. The Bass wasn't as long but was heavier. I didnt have any measurement tools out so I guessing a bit. The Kokanee was still fighting as the camera man was trying to take the pic. I hope to run into it again soon but have my sights set on one of those long shadows I see pass under the boat from time to time.

haven't seen many of those kokes in there for a few years. Obviously, they're still around. We used to catch them in the spring in the river above the lake. Since Puget Sound Energy put in the turbines, and a Tsunami dam (wtf?), the population has declined. Nice fish and I bet it tasted great!
