Went out to Millersylvania about 9:00AM to see if I could hook into a few LMB. And did I ever! It was about 72 degrees when I got there and it looked like the bass were just starting to get active. Brought in a few pounders then spotted a lunker hanging out close to shore. I threw multiple plastics at it but it wasn't interested in those. Switched to a perch swim-bait and got a little reaction. But still no bite. Finally went to a Rapala and that really pissed it off. Instant bite! Ended up she was just under 5lbs. and 18"! Biggest bass ever for me. (that's it in the pic) I can't make it too easy on everybody, so you get to guess the color and size. But I saw others that were close to the size of this one. They're out there.

The perch rap might do it. I didn't try mine.

Negative on the dock status. Never catch anything from there. This one was between the swimming areas.

One hint though. It wasn't a floating or sinking rap. It's the suspending kind. I parked it right next to her bed and she was on it.

Oh yeah, I put her back so she could protect her brood. I've never understood why people keep bass. They taste like crap. And if we all put them back, the lakes and ponds will be full of big ones like this.
