This report is for a few weeks ago when our family took a vacation to Ocean Shores.....

My parents informed me that we would be heading to Ocean Shores so I decided to check out fishing at Duck Lake. The reports online were not the greatest so my hopes were low as we headed off to our last family vacation before I go off to college. The first night we were there we decided to head to Chinook Park and wet our lines. I was using a worm with no weight and casting as far as I could with the wind. My dad got a really nice perch and I managed a few decent perch myself. Then, tired out, decided to take the next day off and enjoy life. Then came the morning of day three. Headed to the dock at Chinook Park round 7 a.m. and made the first cast and within 10 minutes caught a nice 16 in trout. Then realized we forgot the net. Next cast came another 16 in trout. I was in shock that there were even trout in here! The fish in the pic was the 7.1 pound trout that took 7 min to land and a lot of luck to get it on the dock. Then, finally, the last fish was 4.5 pounds and was released unharmed. What a day!!! Dad had fun watching me catch fish, and had very little luck himself. Tight Lines

ya right off the public dock that was made by the high school shop class. I didnt use any weight and lots of worm and just killed them, I was only there for around an hour and a half.
