Started fishing from the dock at 4:15 p.m. Two guys were there fishing for a couple of hours but did not catch anything. They said there were a few hits. Started fishing with worms and a bobber. I had a couple hits and finally an hour later, I caught a six inch what I thought was a perch but when I brought it up and touched it, it seemed like a walleye. Kinda weird because I didn't know there was Walleye in Long Lake. At about 5:30, switched to 1/8 oz. Kastmaster (gold). First cast, Bam! I got a hit from a bass that came out of the water. I tried to set the hook but lost it. After a few more casts, I gave up. I did catch a lot of mill foil.

yeah long lake is tough. Earlier in the summer I was slaying cut throats just casting to the left of the metal pilings to the left of the dock and casting a worm with about a 1.5 ft leader to the right of that downed tree that is about 15 degrees from the front of that dock.
