I went to deer lake in Lincoln Co. Washington all the way from Bellingham, Wa and I caught huge bass, crappie, and trout. For the bass and crappie i used rapala lures. and the trout i used worms. The weather wasn't to bad. but the exciting part was when we caught close to ten 2lb bass and a 23" brown trout. Used boat for while but was to hard getting one in cause of steep boat put in. all in all I would go there if i had the chance again.

That's actually a brook trout - and an excellent example of one!

OOPS! I missed the purple spots the first time around. The white fins should have clued me in.

Check page 89 of the Washington Fishing Regulations. Where you the only one on the lake? I did not realize that this lake, Deer (Springs), had any brook trout in it. It does have a healthy population of browns.

Wait why check page 89? I just did and its the regs for eastside rivers. Typo?

I suspect the reason Troop of Three suggested Crappieman check the regs is because Deer Lake, Lincoln County, (Deer Springs) is listed to have closed Sept 30th and this post was made the end of October. I checked the regs online and Deer Lake, Lincoln County, is listed on page 93, but it may actually be page 89 in the printed version. I also checked for any rule updates on this lake and couldn't find any.
