Fishing at Rufus continues to chug along..Fishing in the lower basin by the dam has been good the first couple hours in the mornings..Catching alot of fish in that 16 to 20 in range during this time..As it gets later in the morning I have been motoring up lake between pump stations 1 and 4 where then I change from trolling flies on the surface to casting spinners and spoons to the shorelines for the best production.
My technique of a quick retrieve from the shoreline for the first 5 to 10 ft then slowing the retrieve and sometimes stopping the lure and letting it fall seems to be working best...
Fished the pens a few times this week and caught fish but for better numbers seems that the shorlines have been as productive...thanks again to WL.com for the video of Rufus..Feel free to contact me anytime..Joe Heinlen Rufus Woods Fishing
