SEARCH FOR THE SPLIT TAILED TROUT
On the water at 9:00 am with father in law. Water temp 50 degrees. Air temp 40ish. Very nice day with a high overcast sky. Trolled the can line and that side of the river for about 3 or 4 miles. We trolled the surface with red tipped woolly buggers at 1 to 1.5 mph the whole time and caught and released 15 to 20 nice sized trout. Nothing larger than 3 lbs. We kept our limit to send back to Bonners Ferry with the in-laws. On a side note. Check out the split tailed trout. This is honest to god, how they came out of the water.
Fair winds & Following seas.

Yeah those trips all have messed up tails, fins and all banged up. Catch one of the native resident bows in there and you'll be in for a real handful.
