Went out on Stevens today with jetman from 10 to 3 on the north side. water temp was 46. we started fishing with bobber and worm and after 20 min started hooking fish. he missed 2 fish then the 3rd was a nice 18inch bow that came off right at the boat then he casted right back out and landed a 16 incher. 10 min he landed a 15 inch bow and before he had the fish out of the net i had a fish trying to eat my bobber before it found my worm and it turned out to be a nice 14 inch kokanee then over the next 3 4 hours we lost 16 or so fish we just couldnt kept them on. they all were around 15 inch. so then finally i landed a 11 inch fish. not even 20 min after that i started getting hits and when i got the fish on i noticed it felt really heavy. after a 10 min battle on my ultra light we landed a nice 22 inch 3.6 pound trout. after that my friend landed a nice fat 12 incher but it went back. so we ended the day with a 15, 16, 22 inch bow and a 13 inch kokanee. it was a great day

My company was working on a house on Vernon Road on the West shore of Lake Stevens last week, I couldn't believe all the fish I saw rising, nice to see someone made it out there to take advantge of the action!! Good job, good report, and as far as I'm concerned it's never too late in the year to get out and fish......the fish are already wet and cold....ha ha!

Love the report! Winter fish are the best tasting fish as well, plus you don't need to bring the ice! Keep warm and dry and maybe we'll see you out there.

Red, NICE JOB! someone told me yesterday that any time the air is much colder than the water, like it is now, the fish just won't bite. I guess they haven't been to Lake Stevens....or Rufas Woods for that matter. Remember this last spring when everybody was complaining how dead it was compared to all the fish they planted? looks like they're hungry now .The north side huh? were you fishing near the aerator water pump thing? Again excellent job. sounds like you guys had a great time.

Great report. One thing that i have learnd about trout in the cold weather months is that they go shallow and use cover. When i fishing for smallmouth on stevens i have got some nice trout on tube jigs and flukes. Just not on stevens ether. The deeps are 2-15 feet deep, This is a great tip to find big trout in cold water.

Hey: Dude,

Got your massage about the RiverGod, it's true dude I've never seen any thing like these jigs around here, or this blue mix stuff he invented he named the Barack Obama mix, But you can bet your life this stuff works. And oh yeah, I have been trying to get him too place some photo's of the jigs his daughter makes but he told me no way, because theirs to many haters out there that will rip his idea off and made me promises not to show or tell any one. But the best thing I can tell you is to write him and ask for yourself, he's probably one of the coolest guys you'll ever meet.
