Nice to see you got a fish but that is not cutthroat......it is a brown trout. St. Clair was stocked with ~10k browns in 2007 and 5K in 2008. I am glad to see a few survived because we were beginning to think that it was a bust. Look to see a few of these get very large in the next couple of years.

Nice fish.
Hope you enjoyed using my dock.
I also hope you cleaned up after yourself, and didn't leave junk all over.

Sorry, my bad :}
Were you using bobber/marshmallow or was the bait laying on the bottom?
Also, if you don't mind, what water depth were you fishing?
hey fishcounter, are these browns sterile or will they spawn in there?
I wish the kokanee that was planted years ago made it, I watched 500,000 fry get planted around '87?

fishcounter: 15,000 browns?! Where did you get that info? The stocking plan posted on the WDFW web site says 10k rainbows and 270 triploids in 2007, and 10k rainbows and 176 triploids in 2008. No mention of browns.

i was fishing off my shore . i still think its a cuttroat lol ive had several people tell me about streams "witch ive seen" in the lake. an that in the winter the cuttroat run through an into the lake. ive heard the cuttroat has an orangeish color down by its jaw. this one has that color. either way, its a trout an it was fun to catch as aleays :)
i catch quite a few every day, i acually caught a bass an tried to post it on here but that post didnt get published. "i think the editers thought i was full of poop" lol
you guys wanna catch em here ya go, "i like bass fishing anyway" go to the old boat launch an put in. find a spot thats about 20 feet deep an fish on the bottom with a sinker an worm or powerbait or both "both prefered" an you will catch your limit in a couple hours. carful tho :) you miht be suprised how big some of them are. smallest trout ive caught this winter was still over 12 inches. have fun everyone, youll prolly see me or my pole out there.
