Zoe and I made it to the lakeside at 6:45pm. We went straight down from the parking lot because it was the closest since we only had 15 minutes to fish. The sign says the park closes at 7pm but I am not sure that is true. We escaped any showers but the wind was blowing from the southwest. It felt very cold. There were others fishing but we didn’t see any one catch anything. Zoe was great. She just turned 3. She fished the bottom with green glitter power bait. I throw some spinners that I made. We didn’t have any bites. Zoe got a reward on the slides while I put our stuff in the tackle box. We will try to come back when it is warmer and we have more time.

nice job taking the zoe out early before they end up not liking fishing at all.

I thought, at first, there isn't enough time to fish but it will be enough to get in the water. Afterward I thought that is was a great amount of time...one can catch a fish in 15 minutes...but if we don't then she gets to be there and not get to bored. She also had the reward of the playground. It was all good. Her hands were still cold when we got home.
