I posted a detailed report about my experience which also included bait fishermen in boats casting within feet of my boat as I trolled in the area. I ended up leaving early. Clueless people!

Read your post and I agree with your assessment. Most people are considerate but there are always a few jerks out there who can spoil it for the rest of us. Whether it's noise pollution, garbage pollution, rudeness or bad manners. And I've learned that these people usually cannot be reasoned with. They are rotten apples and always will be. Even if you ask nicely and try to address their offensive behavior, the situation can escalate out of control so I now take the easy way out: ignore them or move on. It's not worth my time or effort to deal with dirtbags.

5/5/2009 1:09:00 PMI have been fishing that lake a lot since opening day. Yes there are a lot of inconsiderate people, especially ones that crowd the boat launch. I have a little green tub I call a boat, but she is seaworthy and has done very well. Fishing has been great despite the inconsiderate folks out there. What irks me the most is letting kids play ball around parked vehicles, adults causing a ruckus, and total lack of respect for the sport of fishing, and boaters using bait in the middle of trolling lanes. Lets have some courtesy, use a boat for a boat not a dock.
