I fished the west side of West Medical with chironomid patterns from 9:45 until 2:45. Low 50s and SW winds at 12-15 MPH. Only 10-12 subtle takes until 11:15, with just 1 trout to net. From 11:15 to to 1:15 the trout became very active. 16 in that 2-hour period, all on a black pattern with silver rib. Some large fish caught during this period, the largest being 22" and several others in the 16-20" range. Only 6 in the 12" range today. Fished an additional 90 minutes, getting only 3 more fish. As usual, W. Medical was most active in the late morning and early afternoon.
