Went out to my buddies Cabin to just hangout with some friends and maybe do a little fishing. We had some luck out on the boat trolling, catching 4 trout. 2 Rainbows, 2 Eastern Brookies. All between 15-18 inches. Got dark and had to come back in. I woke up in the morning and wanted to catch some crappie so I started throwing a white bodied, red tailed rubber grub. First cast a caught a decent bass right off my buddies dock. I kept throwing there and ended up catching 4 Pretty nice Crappie, 6 smaller bass, the one decent bass, and some perch. I took the paddle boat out just to throw some casts along the docks lining the lake hoping to find some more bass or crappie layed up under them. I was fishing the Northwest shore of the lake and having alot of luck catching bass just none were too big. Got into the rocks and first cast hooked up with a big fish that felt to be 4-5 lbs. It shook off and I was pretty bummed. I switched to a reddish rubber worm and first cast caught a nice Bass a little over 3 lbs. Ended up catching several bass that day and then heading back to the dock using a little tiny piece of worm and bobeer catching about 40 perch, and 20 crappie. I realeased all but 5 perch which I decided to filet up and fry. Delicious. Great day at the lake and the water is getting warm enough for the bass to get active.

Two thumbs up! I have not seen a report from there for some time, so this is good to see.

Glad so you had you some fun. I fished that like about two years ago and caught lots of nice crappie. What size are the crappie and perch you caught?
