I have got to say that June in Chelan is one of the most beautiful places that you can ever see. Green Hillsides with calm mornings and Great Fishing..
The first part of the week was tough to get the Chinook to bite but ended the week with boating 3 Kings..These fish came off the Ace Hi-fly in Green Glow by Silverhorde.
Laketrout fishing has been pretty easy..I have been averaging 7 to 10 Lakers every trip..The bait that has been working best is a strip of northern pikeminnow with an action disc in front trolling at 1.2 to 1.4 mph. Keeping the presentation 1 to 3 ft. off the bottom at all times has worked well..Finding these biters off Rocky Point and off the tip of Wapato Pointin good numbers. The fish are spreading out now since the forage fish are spreading.
Feel free to call with Questions or comments anytime..Good luck out there and be safe..

I have seen external lesions on rainbow trout but I have never seen these wounds on Laketrout or on Chinook here in our lake...I believe that alot of the sores that form on Rainbows are caused from parasites and usually you will see these early in the spring and late in the summer...I guess the answer to your question is that rainbows seemed to be more susceptible to these active parasites..hope I answered your question
