Decide to make a effort to get some good fishing in on Saturday even though the weather sucked. Oh well that's part of the game. Got out to Alice at 5:30 or so and start getting bass right away. Nothing to big a few in the 1 1/2lb range but most around 10-12 inchs. I did get one that was about 14inch but didn't weigh it. I was out to have fun. I caught most of my fish on a rapala rainbow trout color and a green pumkin seed lizard. 4inch. All the fish came of the corners of pads and a few off of docks. I did find my cruisers (5-6lbs)but they were pretty skittish. I caught a total of about 15 bass and then decide to have some fun on my new custom (Fetha styx) rod to see how sensitive it is. If you are looking for a great custom rod this guy knows his stuff. Any thing you want he can do. So any ways i decide to catch a few small sunfish. Good fighters and reminded me of when I was a kid in Texas. They will hit most small jigs but a worm on a small hook works best.
