Hit lake Alice today for the first time this spring. I was kind of shocked to see that most of the Large mouth had spawned already. There were a few left on beds. We (Ron and I) caught around 10 or 15 small large mouth and until we found a bed to work. I hooked into a nice fish around 4 lbs but she didn't really give me a chance. She went under a pipe then into the pads. I put the rod under the pipe come up and she went back under then finally broke me from under the boat. So we moved on. Found another fish on a bed worked her for about 5 or 10 mins when she finally gave in and hit my drop shot. she weighed 2 lb 12oz. Nice little fish. Other than that we didn't get any big fish. Had to call it an early day. I'm headed out to Serene today so will have report tomorrow.
