A good day, but HOT weather and SLOW action. About a fish per hour. We started at 8:00am and gave up at 2:30pm. We tried every color of powerbait, eggs, worms and marshmallows! We got ten between the four of us.

Good looking fish for sure. I have been told by friends that if the wind is blowing hard, creating white caps, that trolling hits them. If the wind is calm, you have to almost fish at night. I'd say you did pretty well considering the weather. I think it is just a time of year and water temperature thing right now. Thanks for the report.

My brother and a friend went out this morning Friday, June 12 at 3:00am and they only had a couple of bites and didn't manage to get any to shore (no boat) after about 5 hours of fishing at the public launch. The weird thing is, there are fish rising all over the place - too hot and too much easy feed apparently.........The water is getting really warm 73-74 degrees on the west end, 70 or so degrees on the East end.
