Spent several days fishing Palmer Lake and had a great time. Kakanee were in 40 to 60 feet of water at the 20 to 25 foot level. Caught several dozen K and a few perch. Morning and evening were better than mid day to hot then.

I hope to make it out there one of these days. I have heard that the fishing is really good, its just so far and will have to make a weekend out of it. I think it will ltake me about 4-5 hours to get there. Were you trolling? If so, what was the rig of choice?
thanks

Yes trolling at 0.9 mph with wedding rings and corn. Beautiful lake, camp ground at the north end and a concrete boat ramp at the south end. No lodging on the lake, Lommis has a Kwik-Trip market and gas station so shop in Tenasket before getting to the lake. I di hear that there was open camping on the west shore but can not confirm. good fishing.
