I was going to Camano Island to fish a private lake, but plans got canceled. Since I was already nearby Cassidy, I made a detour to check it out. The rain was coming down hard, but it stopped when I got to the boat launch. Put the float tube in the water and trolled with a black wooly bugger behind a bubble for crappie. Trolled along the lilly pads when a lmb hit my fly. It made a lot of spalshes before reaching the tube. It said cheese and I released it. It was my first lmb and C&R.

Made it the far end of the lake across the boat luanch. Decided to troll a worm with a split shot. I had a hit crossing the lake. Once I got back to the luanch, I worked the shoreline north towards the resort dock. A boat was at that shoreline for a long time. Didnt get any bites working that shoreline with a 3 inch grub.

Saw a little perch caught with a worm and bobber at the resort dock. I changed the grub to a Roadrunner jig for panfish. Then the clouds got real dark and it poured on me. I had to get back to the launch asap. Then I had a hit on the Roadrunner jig but missed it. Called it a day after fishing for two hours and being rained on.

You got me there, I was thinking wolly bugger for trout but a bass, that is one up on me. I only wish you would have been using a fly rod setup. ( I have always dreamed of a very large bass on a flyrod)
Great job johny keep it up.
I will get out there with you sooner or later.
