Returned to Wildcat to see if my last experience was true, and not a fluke, and was rewarded with another limit. Arrived at the lake about 11, just after the morning clouds had burned off, with some concern that the last few days of record heat may have changed the fishing dynamic, but willing to test it. Went over to the other side and anchored and got the line down about 11:15. First fish at 11:30. An hour and a half later had my five, all between 11.5 and 12.5, and it was time to get out of the sun. The total group weighed 3+ pounds, with the fattest going at an even 1 pound. All beginning to pink. This lake is good. Tonight's dinner was good.
