Checked in a my buddy's house after work today to fish off his dock and in his boat at Storm Lake for a couple hours. He wanted some fish to eat, so between the two of us we kept 8 small bass between 11 3/4 inches and 8 inches. We released many more small ones and one larger 15" bass. Even though I hate killing bass (I had 100% catch and release until today this year), it was a fun afternoon with a good friend...and good dinner eats too! We got them on nightcrawlers, rubber worms, rapalas, and even rooster tail spinners. This would be a great place for kids and beginners to learn to bass fish. Lots of small fish, but lots of action.

Sometimes you just have to thin the ranks a little. It makes it easier for the rest to find food and grow up big and strong for Tag to catch hehe

I agree w Aaron you have to thin them out so that others can get bigger. I dont keep many fish from lakes but it makes sense to me. It's not like bass are on the endangered species list and can't be replaced.

Honestly, they were pretty good, a hint muddy tasting...but we fried the little fillets in batter and added lots of tartar sauce (that will mask anything), and washed it down with some suds. I do not particularly like the taste of bass, and didn't eat too much...a bit more gamey than my beloved perch. I haven't eaten enough blue gill or crappie to appreciate their tastes, but perch is my favorite of the spiney rays to eat by far. My folks ( an many fishing friends) live near Fish Lake in Chelan County and we catch and eat them by the hundreds thru the year. I just ate bass because a friend wanted to...hell, I'd rather eat trout, halibut, salmon or even Skippers for that matter. Take care, and good fishing to you!

Buzzbait............I made by buddy put all the fish on the string and to the filleting, so technically I am not a bass murderer. Catch and not release is very rare for me when fishing bass. I put them all back carefully...usually :-) Take care and good fishing to all!

Right on Aaron! especially in that lake..........a little thinning can't hurt.

You calling me a liar...did you measure them ch33v22? You are wrong...and apparently do not catch many fish. As you can see, I am holding them out to make them look larger than they appear...check the hands DIP SHI-.........you are rude and offensive...find another hobby! I do not break the law, and if I did would certainly not post it on line. Come on GOOF!

Sorry I was out of town and missed your new crap posting. By the looks of your spelling and punctuation - Cashmere Elementary School must have burned down when you were in 2nd or 3rd grade. Too bad for you. Maybe that is why you never post any of the thousands of fish you SAY you catch. It must suck to look and be stupid in print, but it is even worse to be a liar. Don't talk about the fish you catch...show us loser. Maybe then someone will believe you. Damn, I was at Fish Lake in Chelan County this weekend and we could have got together to fish, then you could have shown me how it's done. Also, one last question for you.....for a living do you pick applets or cotlets? LOL, LOL, LOL. Just wondering. Now go away and clean up your act.
