Hit the water ohhhh about 6:30 am the resort was closed so we fished from the dock.After fishing for a hour or so we caught the first fish of the daya decent sized carryover rainbow.We rented a boat when the resort opened and trolled our way down the lake with no luck at all still fishing didnt even produce any fish.We decided to mogate back by the resort then we found the honey hole we were averaging 2 maybe 3 fish a hour. Using what we dubbed the "squid" a wad of power bait and a night crawler hooked in the center so the whole set resembled a squid.A dab of "lunker lotion" on there and it was on the bite was steady even as the wind picked up and sun came out and hid behind clouds. All and all a darn fine day on the water looking forward to it again.
