First day of boating season. I live just 5 min's from Rattlesnake. My buddy and I rounded up our gear and headed up for some trout action. I brought my kids with me and put all of them in my 12' aluminum boat. We fished for a couple hours and got a total of 8 fish. It was great to see all my kids fishing. The last fish Dad caught and it was a 14", 2lb trout. took me about 10 min's to land him. he kept coming close to the boat then ran and you can just hear the reel spinnin. It was awesome fight!!! Yes, I did bring this fish home and released the others. I felt this fish might have two more years at most to live. I was using a f4 flatfish "frog color" and an f3 flatfish rainbow colored. my fish finder was picking up fish everywhere. My kid's had a blast!! memories created. keep the reels zinging.
