After all that talking at the Puyallup Sportsman's Show it sure was nice to get back out on the lake. What a great day for fishing on Lake Chelan. We started out at 7:30 and had 3 lines down by 8. When we hit the 300' contour working our way out from the Yacht Club we tripled up! When the bottom reached 400' we pulled our lines to turn around. With 5 fish in the box! What a great first pass.

We are fishing a series of benches starting just above the Yacht Club and working our way out to the 400' level. There are good numbers of fish and a nice sprinkling of honkers.

While anything that you have confidence in will work, we pounded away with purple glow Rushin' Salmon Wobblers by Critter Gitter. Keep your lure within 5 feet of the bottom. We were trolling at 1.3 to 1.6 mph. As long as the weather stays above freezing and the wind doesn't blow, we will continue to pound this deepwater area.
