2/4/2010 2:53:00 PMThere is no minimum size or daily limit on the Lake Trout at Chelan, and if you look through reports, the guides always catch a lot of them seemingly year round. I even caught one out of my touring kayak without depthfinder or downrigger. Follow the advice in the reports, and you'll land fish there.

2/4/2010 4:42:00 PMthey are also known as a lake trout, they can grow to upwards of 30 - 50 lbs. bigger mackinaw have been caught i am sure in other places , i know that a big one on chelan is 30 pounder but for mackinaw to survive they need deep deep water and they need shallow also and a big supply of food(i think their main food supply in chelan is kokanee smolt :) ) which there is alot to be had in this body of water. awsome fishery going next week. good luck

2/5/2010 1:35:00 PMI've caught Makinaw in Preist Lake Id before. Good eating, but not much of a fight. Could'nt you run some lighter rods off of those downriggers to get a little more wiggle out of those fish. Maybe the Chelan Fish are different. How do they fight?
