Fished the westend of Sprague Lake today. Arrived at the lake about noon and fished until 3:30. Water temp was 39 even though some of the lake still had Ice on it. Personally I am not much of a troller, but heard that dragging a wedding ring was working for others. After 2 hour without a bite I decided to give it a go and got a couple of bites. One of them made it into the boat. About 13 inches and very fat. Nice fish, but I go to Sprague looking for more.

The weather was beautiful and the large number of bank anglers were evidence that it was a great day to be outdoors.

Good report PipeDreamer, had just been looking at the Sprague Lake Resort web site prior to reading your report, and was glad to see you had submitted one. It appears that both resorts are closed, where did you launch your boat? There are a lot of five pound plus rainbows in Sprague, the bite should be on soon.

I put is at the WDFW launch on the southwest shore. It is a pretty nice, cement launch pad, easy to turn around in and lots of parking.
